TeleMiracle set for March 1-2

The 49th edition of the Saskatchewan Kinsmen/ Kinettes TeleMiracle telethon is scheduled for March 1-2, 2025. TeleMiracle has announced their cast list, including new and returning hosts and performers, as the fundraiser prepares to put on its 49th show.

New cast members this year all have connections to Saskatchewan, and include:

• Dione Taylor, known for her Prairie Blues artistry and born and raised in Regina

• Jay Semko, vocalist and bassist for The Northern Pikes from Saskatoon

• Teagan Littlechief, SCMA Indigenous Artist of the Year from White Bear First Nations

• Luc Johner, singer-songwriter and pianist, joining the cast as a solo performer for the first time, alongside his father Brad Johner

• Sabeen Ahmad, CTV Regina

Hosts include: Brad Johner, Beverley Mahood, Jeffery Straker, Jill Straker, and Lisa Franks.

The TeleMiracle house band, made up of Sheldon Corbett, Jack Semple, Dave Chobot, Don Griffith, and Glenn Ens, will also be back for another year. In its 48 years, TeleMiracle has raised over $165 million to help people in Saskatchewan receive medial assistance. In 2024, the event raised a total of $6,112,717. The “Countdown to TeleMiracle” will be livestreamed on the organization’s website beginning at 6:15 p.m., with the broadcast beginning at 9 p.m. across CTV Saskatchewan. It will also be live streamed on TeleMiracle’s website. The fundraiser will conclude on March 2 at 5 p.m., with the final reveal of the total.

The annual TeleMiracle telethon raises money for the Kinsmen Foundation. The funds are used within Saskatchewan for specialized medical equipment, granting individuals and groups with special needs the mobility and freedom to live their lives richly. Equipment the Foundation funds includes ceiling track system for group and individual homes, specialized and motorized wheelchairs, electric scooters, and vehicle conversions. The Kinsmen also help with travel needs, such as the cost of transportation, meals, and accommodations when families need care far from home.
