Staying active is one of the best things you can do for your health, no matter your age or fitness level. But sometimes, getting started — or knowing what to do next — can feel overwhelming. That’s where YTHRIVE comes in! This six-month YMCA fitness program is designed to make exercise accessible, achievable, and, most importantly, enjoyable. With YTHRIVE, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. A YTHRIVE coach will provide you with a personalized workout plan and the ongoing support you need to stay active, reach your goals, and have fun along the way. You’ll work at your own pace using an easy-to-follow workout tracker and online support videos. Plus, our YTHRIVE Support Team will check in with you throughout the program to answer questions, offer encouragement, and help keep you on track.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Over the course of six months, YTHRIVE members receive:
• 4 in-person sessions with a YTHRIVE coach
• 3 additional check-ins by phone or email
• Access to a variety of YMCA services and amenities
• A guided approach to fitness that builds confidence and knowledge
The goal of YTHRIVE is to help you develop a solid foundation in exercise, stick to your health and wellness goals, and explore all that the YMCA has to offer. Best of all, YTHRIVE is included in your YMCA membership at no extra cost!

“Ready” – The Perfect Starting Point
If you’re new to exercise or haven’t worked out in a while, the “Ready” program is a great place to start. This plan is all about building confidence and familiarity in the gym. You don’t need to know everything — just where to begin! A YTHRIVE coach will guide you through short, beginner-friendly workouts using simple, easy-to-use equipment. We understand that starting an exercise routine can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. “Ready” helps you feel comfortable, safe, and empowered in your fitness journey.
“Strive” – Take It Up a Notch
For those who have some experience with exercise or are returning after a break, the “Strive” program is designed to help you build on what you already know. With structured workouts and support from a YTHRIVE coach, you’ll take your fitness to the next level while receiving encouragement every step of the way. We know that getting back into a routine can be challenging, but with the right support, it’s easier than you think. “Strive” will help you reconnect with exercise, refine your skills, and grow your confidence as you progress toward your goals.
“Commit” – Keep Things Fresh
If you’re an experienced exerciser looking for a way to stay engaged and continue improving, “Commit” is for you. This plan helps you break through plateaus, change up your routine, and regain excitement for working out. A YTHRIVE coach will work with you to diversify your fitness plan, challenge you in new ways, and get the most out of every workout. “Commit” also offers an opportunity to give back — if you love fitness and want to inspire others, you can become a volunteer YTHRIVE coach and help fellow YMCA members reach their health and wellness goals.
