He’s spent more than four decades enchanting young audiences with music and his hit TV show. Now Fred Penner is back on the road to mark the 40th anniversary of his hit song The Cat Came Back. It’s a chance to introduce your little ones to the music you grew up with. Tickets are $22 – $29.

2020 Juno Awards & Juno Week

March 9 – 15, Various venues

The Junos are coming back to the Bridge City. Anyone who was here in 2007 knows how amazing it is to be in the centre of the Canadian music industry that week. Events include the kick-off concert featuring The Sheepdogs at Coors Event Centre, a hockey game pitting musicians against NHL superstars, and the big awards show on Sunday, March 15, at SaskTel Centre. Saskatoon knows how to party and there will be music performances in every corner of our city. Ticket prices vary based on the event. The awards show tickets are $53 – $184.

Mine to Have: Sensuality and Circumstance

March 19 – 29, Studio 914

It’s a look at love, pain and acceptance and the intimate lives of people living with disability. Mine To Have: Sensuality and Circumstance combines video projections, movement and storytelling to explore how sexuality can be experienced in many ways. This show was created by Regina’s Listen to Dis, a disabilityled non-profit that enables people of different abilities to develop as professional artists. Mine to Have premiered at Regina’s Globe Theatre last summer and is now headed out on the road for a Saskatchewan tour. Tickets are $15 – $26.

Mozart’s Flute

April 4, Knox United Church

It’s well on its way to becoming a sure sign of spring: the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is bringing back the mini-Mozart festival. Concerts will be held throughout the week leading up to flutist Naomi Ford’s performance of Mozart’s Symphony No. 29. Ford was named one of the 30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30 by CBC Music and has performed all over North America. Tickets are $38 – $45.

 Stones In His Pockets

March 25 – April 8, Persephone Theatre

The glitz and glamour of Hollywood shakes up a small Irish village in this two-hander. Stones In His Pockets is an award-winning play about two small-town guys caught up in the excitement of being extras in a film. Charlie has stars in his eyes and Jake only has eyes for the leading lady. When tragedy strikes, they decide to write their own script. This comedy will be a workout for the actors, as the pair will play 15 characters. Tickets are $16 – $30.
